Join us for Road Funding Day at the Indiana Statehouse on Tuesday, March 17 to urge legislators to enact road funding legislation that will keep roads safe, boost economic development and help create Hoosier jobs.
Your day starts with a legislative briefing to bring you up to speed on the latest on road funding bills making their way through the Indiana General Assembly. Road funding experts will provide talking points, answer questions and provide guidance on how to connect with your legislators at the Statehouse. Participants will then head across the street to meet with their elected officials and help ensure that road funding stays a top priority throughout the session.
Schedule
9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Registration and Networking at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis9:30 to 11:00 a.m Road Funding Legislative Briefing 11:00 a.m. Depart for the Statehouse 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Legislator Visits (Our lobbyists can assist you in these steps.) -- Find legislators in committee meetings at the Statehouse. -- Invite legislators to lunch. (Do this in advance.) -- Catch your legislator in the Statehouse hallway. -- Send a note in to the House/Senate floor, and ask to speak
with your legislator.
Location
Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is located in downtown Indianapolis, across the street from the Indiana Statehouse.
Parking
While there is parking available at the Hyatt Regency, there are plenty of parking spaces nearby.
Registration
While registration is not required for participation in Road Funding Day at the Statehouse, it would be helpful for planning purposes. Also, if you pre-register, we will be able to notify you should the schedule change for any reason. There is no registration fee, and you do NOT need to create an Eventbrite account to register for this program.
St. Patrick's Day
There is a St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Indianapolis scheduled for 11:30 a.m. This should have little impact on our program, as we begin at 9:00 a.m. Click here and here for more information about the Indianapolis St. Patrick's Day events.
